The kids are placed into different language arts classes.  Mrs. Cline, Mrs. Loeffler, Mrs. Grabowska, and Mr. Gill are all responsible for teaching a group of students.  The skills may be taught differently at times but will be consistent throughout the four classrooms.  It should also be noted that a few kids may see Mr. Smith or Mrs. Chambers during this time.  Language arts is 90 to 120 minutes each day.

This year the kids will have Mr. Gill for technology.  All students will have technology 5 times a week for an average of 30 minutes.  The state of West Virginia has implemented so much technology expectations that we feel it is important to now have time each day dedicated to teaching it.  Tech-steps, Acuity, Writing Roadmap, typing, office products, the Internet, and many other items will be taught during the school year.  Fourth grade is equipped with 30 laptops in the classroom that are all capable of accessing the Internet wirelessly.  Going to the lab once a week is simply not sufficient for 21st century learners.
